Geoffrey D. Borman

Geoffrey D. Borman is the Alice Wiley Snell Endowed Professor in the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation at Arizona State University. His interests include social stratification and the ways educational policies and practices can help address and overcome inequality. He currently focuses on racial stereotypes and how students' mindsets can foster school success. His methodological interests concern estimating the causal effects of interventions implemented on a widespread basis in field settings. His work is published in respected education journals, including American Educational Research Journal, Review of Educational Research, Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, and Sociology of Education. Borman received his PhD in measurement, evaluation, and statistical analysis from the University of Chicago.
